Dr. Lisa Bersales is awarded Professor Emeritus of UP

The UP School of Statistics congratulates DR. LISA GRACE S. BERSALES on her appointment as PROFESSOR EMERITUS of UP. Dr. Bersales is one of the twelve newly appointed Professor Emeriti approved during the 1379th meeting of the Board of Regents last April 3, 2023.

Dr. Bersales served as the first National Statistician and Civil Registrar General of the Philippines from 2014 to 2019. She was also the Dean of UPSS from 1996-1998 and 2002-2008. She is currently the Executive Director of the Commission on Population and Development (PopCom).

The university confers the title to (retiring) full professors in recognition of their remarkable achievements and service to the university.
